Quality Carriers Inc. said it has expanded its operations by adding a new terminal in the Houston market, due to an expanding natural gas market.
“The natural gas revolution in North America is dramatically impacting the domestic petrochemical industry,” said Randy Strutz, president of Quality Carriers.
“Our customers continue to expand in the Gulf region and have asked us to bring more capacity to the heart of this exciting market,” he said in a statement.
Last year, Quality added Houston-area terminals in Pasadena and LaPorte, Texas, to complement its Channelview facility, and the new one will be its fourth.
Quality Carriers is a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Distribution Inc., which is ranked No. 35 on the Transport Topics Top 100 listing of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
