Roadrunner Transportation Services, formerly known as Roadrunner Dawes Freight Systems, said Monday it has rebranded to reflect new offerings its third-party transportation logistics, supply-chain management, and truckload and less-than-truckload services.
“Since the merger of Roadrunner Freight and Dawes Transport three years ago, the company has made significant operational changes,” Chief Executive Officer Mark DiBlasi said.
“Through a series of acquisitions and strategic alliances, as well as organic growth, we’ve become competitive as a full-service transportation solutions provider,” DiBlasi said in a statement.
Thayer/Hidden Creek, a Washington, D.C.-based private equity investor, purchased Roadrunner Freight Systems and Dawes Transport in 2005, combining the two Wisconsin-based trucking companies.
Roadrunner is ranked No. 47 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
