Rob Marshall, a driver with Home Hardware, won the Grand Champion and Rookie of the Year awards during the 2013 Canadian National Professional Truck Driving Championships in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
Marshall competed in the straight truck division and earned 430 points out of a possible 500, 69 more than the average score of 361, according to competition organizer British Columbia Trucking Association.
This was his first national championship, but Marshall won this year’s Grand Championship in Ontario and has taken first place in his division at past provincial competitions.
