Hans-Jörg Hager, chairman of the board of Schenker Logistics, will step down from his position this year, the company said Tuesday.
Schenker did not disclose the specific date of Hager’s departure, nor did it announce who would succeed the departing chairman.
“We at DB Schenker will take the time to discuss the next steps in the course of the coming weeks and will decide on a successor who will ensure a seamless transition,” said Norbert Bensel, a Schenker board member. “Until then, Hans-Jörg Hager will continue with his current duties,” Bensel added.
Schenker, part of Germany’s Deutsche Bahn AG, owns logistics firm BAX Global of Irvine, Calif. Schenker/BAX ranks No. 18 on the Transport Topics 50 listing of U.S. and Canadian logistics firms.
