Schneider National said it has reached an agreement with rail provider CSX Transportation to broaden its intermodal services in northwestern Ohio.

The new agreement expands Schneider’s intermodal service to now include rail ramps in Marion, Ohio, and North Baltimore, Ohio.

Schneider said the agreement will also broaden its intermodal service to the Northeast, Southeast and Pacific Northwest, enhance its service capability throughout the U.S. and Mexico and provide more multi-modal options for shippers.

In January, Schneider announced a multi-year extension of its contract with CSX under which the railroad will continue to serve as one of Schneider’s primary rail providers.
