Schneider has raised van truckload driver pay by 8-13% in mileage and bonus pay, after increases for tanker and dedicated account drivers.
The carrier said some drivers may be eligible for a sign-up bonus of up to $7,500. The company also offers tuition reimbursement up to $6,000 as well as a military apprenticeship program of up to $1,146 a month.
“Our business is growing, creating tremendous opportunities for both solo and team drivers,” Dave Geyer, senior vice president of Schneider’s van truckload division, said in a statement.
“Strong customer demand is providing record miles for drivers to maximize their available hours. This, combined with increased pay rates and weekly time at home, provides some of the best driving jobs in the industry,” Geyer said.
Schneider ranks No. 7 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
