SkyBitz Integrates ALK Maps with InSight Tracking Application
ALK Maps - SkyBitz InSightTrailer-tracking provider SkyBitz has integrated ALK Technologies’ mapping software with its InSight Web application.
The ALK Maps integration, which is available now, provides SkyBitz InSight users with visualizations of street-level maps with satellite imagery.
“The new mapping integration can help customers to visualize their assets with more contextualized information,” said Henry Popplewell, senior vice president and general manager at SkyBitz.
ALK Maps includes industry-specific information such as Class 8 truck restrictions, fuel and truck stops, weigh stations and toll roads.
“Unlike other mapping solutions that were originally created for automobile travel, ALK Maps is designed from the ground up for the trucking and logistics industry,” said Dan Popkin, senior vice president of enterprise solutions at ALK, which is part of Trimble Navigation Ltd.
