“As these kinds of programs come into use, they will result in more jobs and higher paying jobs,” said Benjamin Gordon, founder and chief executive officer of 3Plex, based in Cambridge, Mass.

Gordon was interviewed Nov. 12 during TransComp 2000, a combined meeting of the Intermodal Association of North America, the Transportation Intermediaries Association and the National Industrial Transportation League, held Nov. 11-15, at the Broward County Convention Center here.

The third-party business is growing at a rate of 20% a year, said Gordon, “and there is plenty of room for continued growth.”
