Channel Distribution’s current management, including founder Joe Tamari and partner Alan Muir, will remain onboard to run the operation under the St. George umbrella. Founded in 1985, Channel Distribution operates out of three state-of-the-art facilities near O’Hare International Airport.

“We welcome Joe Tamari, Alan Muir and the entire CDC team to the STG family as we continue to build our presence in one of the most important logistics markets in North America,” STG Executive Chairman Chris Jamroz said. “CDC more than doubles our footprint in Chicago and expands STG’s services into air cargo.”

STG President Hessel Verhage said, “In September 2017, we established Chicago as our regional headquarters and announced a multi-million dollar expansion to our logistics center in Elk Grove Village. This initiative, intended to expand capacity, improve efficiency and enhance customer service, is expected to be significantly bolstered by the addition of CDC and its management.”

Tamari said that joining the St. George Logistics brand, under the ownership of the private equity group Wind Point Partners, will allow his company to grow without sacrificing any of its “core values.”

Since Wind Point Partners acquired St. George Logistics in July 2016, it has bought five additional companies in the third-party logistics industry.
