Stella Environmental Holdings Purchased by Hidden Harbor Capital Partners
Hidden Harbor Capital Partners has acquired Stella Environmental Holdings Inc., a company that hauls municipal solid waste to landfills and manages waste transfer stations.
No terms were disclosed by Hidden Harbor, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., investment firm. The purchase was completed Aug. 18.
Stella was a division of Action Resources Inc., a company based in Birmingham, Ala., that provides nationwide transportation of hazardous waste and chemicals, flatbed/heavy-specialized, hotshot and pilot car escort services, plus environmental remediation and emergency response, and freight brokerage services.
Stella CEO Wilfred Roth said Hidden Harbor will provide the financial resources to support the company’s “next phase of growth.”
“As a stand-alone business, we will continue to provide our best-in-class customer service to our long-standing customer base,” Roth said in a statement released by Hidden Harbor.

Established in 1992, Stella processes more than 230,000 tons of waste material each month and dispatches more than 10,000 loads throughout its operating network, according to the company’s website. The company’s fleet consists of six tractors and 12 trailers, based on data on file with the U.S. Department of Transportation.
