Strick Trailers announced all of its trailers will be equipped with Cooper Tires PRO Series LHT Trailer tire beginning in 2021. The tire is part of Cooper’s line of fuel-efficient SmartWay verified tires and meets the Environmental Protection Agency’s greenhouse gas emissions requirements.
The arrangement is a continuation of Strick’s partnership with Cooper Tires as its standard, premium tire supplier.
Along with the V-shaped tread pattern design to help protect against irregular wear, the PRO Series LHT Trailer tire features a unique Wear Square on the tire’s shoulder ribs to indicate when the tire should be pulled for retreading, according to Monroe, Ind.-based Strick.
“Additionally, this tire is backed by an industry-leading, seven-year, two-retread warranty with full replacement value for the first 50% of tread life, another value-added benefit we are happy to pass on to the customer,” Rod Farlow, vice president of materials at Strick Trailers, said in a release. — Transport Topics
