The Suddath Companies has expanded its recently launched MoveDay local moving brand to Orlando, the company announced June 7.

The service, which launched in April in Jacksonville, Fla., provides customers with an online portal through which they can customize their move. Suddath is expanding it into Orlando because of growth in the housing market there, it said.

“Given the level of activity in the Orlando housing market, this is an ideal time to provide customers with better and more flexible options to meet their unique moving needs,” Suddath CEO Mike Brannigan said in a statement. “The MoveDay brand was created to ease the stress of a traditional local move, using innovative technology to give customers greater visibility into the moving process and improve the overall customer experience.”

MoveDay offers flexible services that consumers can choose and change. The online portal shows pricing, services and scheduling, and has access to support. Customers can also track and communicate directly with their moving crew.

“Designed based on direct customer inputs and feedback, it provides automatic updates as the move status changes and lets customers confirm items and sign documents in advance,” Darren Cook, vice president of MoveDay, said in a statement. “This streamlined approach helps reduce anxiety during the move, making the process easier and more efficient for customers.”

The MoveDay services include full-service packing help and labor-only moves. Storage services are also available for short-term and long-term needs, including round-the-clock monitoring and climate-controlled storage options.
