Supply chain software company Accellos announced that it has acquired technology firm Profitsystems. Terms were not disclosed.
Profitsystems provides software that manages home-goods retail operations, including inventory management, distribution management, point of sale, customer management, accounting and business analytics.
“Distribution, logistics and transportation are critically important to home-goods retailers,” Accellos CEO Michael Cornell said in a statement.
“Accellos expertise in supply chain management, combined with Profitsystems expertise in maximizing store operations, creates a compelling combination for any home-goods retailer,” Cornell said.
Profitsystems said it was seeking to align with a partner that would bring “significant resources dedicated to continuing to enhance our products,” and Accellos has experience with the supply chain issues that its customers face.
