Tank Truckers Meet in Chicago

Hours of service, Internet commerce and trucking association politics are on the agenda for the annual meeting of the National Tank Truck Carriers Association.

During their meeting from May 15 to 18 in Chicago, nearly 600 carriers, suppliers and guests are scheduled hear from Julie A. Cirillo, acting director of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. She plans to talk on May 16 about the Department of Transportation’s proposed changes in driver’s hours.

Her speech will be followed the next day by discussions among NTTC members on the effect the proposal would have on their industry at their board of directors meeting.
