TFI Promotes Greg Orr to President of CFI Truckload Business
TFI International has named two executives to head its CFI truckload business unit in Joplin, Mo.
Orr
Greg Orr, who joined CFI in 2017, will serve as president, replacing Tim Staroba. Previously, Orr was president of Action Resources, a company that specializes in transporting hazardous waste.
Michael Hinz has been hired as senior vice president of sales and operations, a position that Orr previously held.
Hinz
Hinz comes from Roehl Transport, where he headed van, dedicated and refrigerated trucking operations since 2013. Prior to that, Hinz spent nearly 20 years in various management roles at Schneider National.
“Greg has been the driving force behind many of our recent accomplishments, and bringing Michael to CFI further strengthens our efforts to create a world-class leadership team,” TFI Chief Financial Officer Greg Rumble said in a statement Jan. 25.
Orr, who also served as president and vice president of operations at Con-way Multimodal, said his approach will be to “build results through the consistently superior service that is a hallmark of CFI and that our customers expect.”
The CFI fleet consists of 2,400 company-owned tractors and 8,000 trailers, with additional capacity provided by owner-operators for solo, team and dedicated truckload freight service in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
TFI acquired the former Con-way Truckload business in 2016 and renamed it CFI in recognition of the company’s original name of Contract Freighters Inc.
Montreal-based TFI ranks No. 10 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of largest for-hire carriers in North America.
