Third-party logistics specialist Total Distribution Inc. is adding 10 facilities across West Virginia and Georgia through the acquisition of REO Processing & REO Logistics, it said in a release.

REO Processing & REO Logistics is a specialty chemical toll processing and logistics firm based in West Virginia that operates facilities in Parkersburg, Vienna, Huntington, Kenova and Nitro in that state as well as a location in Atlanta.

TDI, a wholly owned subsidiary of Peoples Services Inc., is headquartered in Canton, Ohio.

The move aligns with TDI’s strategy to diversify and expand its service capabilities in key markets. The latest deal is TDI’s second in six months. In May, it acquired the assets of Wooster, Ohio-based D+S Distribution and Integrated Logistics Services.

PSI ranks No. 7 on the Transport Topics sector list of the largest refrigerated storage logistics companies in North America and No. 26 on TT’s list of the largest dry storage warehousing companies.

TDI CEO Doug Sibila emphasized the importance of REO’s unique service offerings as a driving factor behind the deal.

“Adding the high-quality REO Processing and their unique service offerings to our existing network will improve the service levels and flexibility to TDI and REO’s current customers,” he said.

TDI said REO is known for its innovation and high standard of service and has built a reputation for excellence across its various locations. REO President Gregg Frazier praised the partnership between the two companies.

“As president of REO, our goal was simple — to build a company based on a high level of professional services,” Frazier said. “Good fortune and great customers, some for decades, have guided us to reach our accomplishments. That is where we are today with our customers and our employees that are my second family.”

Frazier also highlighted the alignment of values between the two companies. “Having known the PSI and TDI companies, Doug Sibila and his management staff for many years, I can see the opportunities and growth they can provide,” he said. “Their values and expectations for service and people are second to none and are totally in line with mine."
