Toth Gets FMCSA Medal for 9/11 Effort

he Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration awarded medals to Gail Toth, executive director of the New Jersey Motor Truck Association, and five FMCSA officials for special transportation-related service in the wake of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta presented the “9/11 Transportation Medal” July 21.

Mineta said FMCSA staff and medal recipients showed “clear commitment to constantly improving the safety and security of our national transportation system.”



FMCSA said the agency’s own award recipients were associate administrators Stephen Barber and Brian Mc-Laughlin; Gary Golas, emergency response coordinator, Washington; and division administrators Christopher Rotondo and Brian Temperine.
