Trailer Orders Rise 4.1% in August
August trailer orders rose 4.1% from the same month last year and climbed 23.9% from July, ACT Research reported.
U.S. manufacturers received 15,780 net orders for new trailers last month, up from 15,155 a year earlier, ACT said.
Orders also bounced back from July’s tally of 12,739, which was the lowest monthly total in nearly three years.
Through eight months, cumulative 2013 trailer orders stand at 134,645, down 5.9% from the same timeframe last year.
