Transportation Data Source, a provider of motor-carrier information services, has announced a product that gives freight brokers an automated evaluation and approval process for third-party carriers.
TDS Carrier OnBoarding collects, validates and maintains motor-carrier qualification information using the TDS database, surveys and onboarding websites that TDS provides to brokers as part of the service.
The company said the product verifies information including carriers’ insurance coverage, CSA scores, operating authority and roadside inspection violations. TDS said it sends notifications of any changes to carriers’ qualification data.
“In response to tight capacity, freight brokers are looking to expand their network of carriers while improving the quality to grow their businesses,” TDS President Lyn Simon said. “TDS Carrier OnBoarding provides accurate, up-to-date information on carriers to confidently move freight faster and more efficiently than before.”
The Carrier OnBoarding package includes the TDS database and training. It also includes a search feature that enables users to identify carriers that operate in specific lanes by equipment type.
