Trimac Expands Logistics Unit With Purchase

Trimac Corp. of Calgary, Alberta, has acquired a transportation consulting firm in Florida and will merge it with its current logistics unit.

Service and Administrative Institute of Jacksonville, Fla., provides logistics and supply chain analysis as well as consulting services to shippers and trucking companies. Trimac Logistics is a nonasset-based transportation service company.

Cort Dondero, the former owner of SAI, will become the new president of Trimac Logistics, while Mike Neumerski, who headed Trimac’s logistics business, will stay on as vice president.

The company will maintain offices in Cherry Hill, N.J., and Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

Trimac is also the parent of North American bulk hauler Trimac Transportation Services and Rentway Inc., a truck leasing and rental company.
