Truck dealership group Murphy-Hoffman Co. announced that it has acquired five dealership locations formerly operated by R.L. French Corp.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The new dealerships, located in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska, and Rock Island, Illinois, enhance MHC’s ability to provide truck service and support to its customers throughout the Midwest.
The acquisition also added 200 employees to MHC’s staff, the company said.
The newly acquired locations sell new Kenworth trucks and side-dump trailers and also offer used-truck sales and parts and service for all makes and models.
“We look forward to servicing customers throughout the expanded MHC network and supporting them with the award-winning services we have been providing for 40 years,” CEO Tim Murphy said.
MHC’s dealership network features more than 100 locations across 16 states. The company sells Kenworth, Volvo, Hino, Isuzu and Ford trucks.
