Truck Makers Recall Kidde Fire Extinguishers
Mack Trucks and Volvo Trucks North America are recalling certain models of Kidde fire extinguishers sold as accessories for use in their trucks, citing a potential risk in 37,367 vehicles.
These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing them from discharging as expected, or excessive force may be needed to activate them, according to the companies, both units of Volvo Group.
In certain models, the extinguisher’s nozzle also may detach from the valve assembly with enough force to cause injury or render it inoperable.
