TT Gets Behind-the-Scenes Look at Indianapolis 500
Transport Topics visited the Indianapolis 500 on Memorial Day weekend, getting an insiders’ view of the weekend’s activities with behind-the-scenes access from Firestone Tires.
Firestone rolled a mini-fleet of big rigs into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, carrying tires and other logistical equipment for the May 25 race.
Firestone supplies the same tires to all Indy drivers, “so there’s no competitive advantage,” the company’s Dennis Boley told reporters during a May 24 garage tour at the speedway.
