Union Pacific Names Lance Fritz President
Union Pacific Corp. announced that it has named Lance Fritz president of Union Pacific Railroad, its chief operating company.
Fritz has worked for Union Pacific since 2000 and most recently was its executive vice president for operations, the company said Feb. 6. He is now the railroad’s top executive.
Fritz replaces Jim Young, who retired Jan. 31, Union Pacific said. Young has worked for the company since 2007 and will remain as non-executive chairman.
Cameron Scott is replacing Fritz’s role overseeing operations.
“Our entire management team is focused on safely providing great service to our customers while providing strong financial results to our shareholders,” Union Pacific CEO Jack Koraleski said in a statement. “These appointments reinforce this commitment, and I am looking forward to our continued success in 2014 and beyond.”
