UPS Sets New Ground Freight Service with Mexico

UPS Inc. announced Wednesday it has set a new ground freight service between the United States and Mexico.

The service, UPS CrossBorder Connect, is “designed to significantly ease heavyweight freight supply chain challenges for companies investing in cross-border trade,” UPS said in a statement.

The contractual service will utilize UPS’ trucking network that supports its North American Air Freight service and has has been connected with carriers in Mexico at eight major points along the U.S.-Mexico border.

It will help companies with complex brokerage process and is designed to help reduce customs delays associated with border regulations, inspections and lengthy paperwork, UPS said.
