U.S. Trade Deficit Grows in July
The U.S. trade deficit grew by 0.2% in July, the Commerce Department said Tuesday.
The gap between imports and exports increased to $42 billion, from a revised $41.8 billion in June.
Economists had projected a $44 billion deficit, Bloomberg reported.
Imports decreased 0.8% to $225.3 billion, while exports increased 1% to $183.3 billion.
The previous month’s gap was revised from $42.9 billion.
