USA Truck Reports 3Q Loss

USA Truck reported a third-quarter loss, citing slower growth in the U.S. economy.

The truckload carrier reported a loss of $6.1 million, or 59 cents per share, compared with a loss of $4.3 million, or 42 cents, a year ago.

Revenue fell to $100 million from $102.6 million, USA Truck said.

Trucking revenue fell to $72 million from $78 million, while intermodal revenue fell to $5 million, from $6.4 million.

USA Truck is ranked No. 49 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
