About 425 drivers and dock workers at USF Reddaway, a unit of less-than-truckload carrier YRC Worldwide, have ratified a new labor contract with the Teamsters, the union said Tuesday.
The union said in a statement that the contract improves workers' wages, health and welfare benefits, eliminates a co-pay for health coverage and creates a safety bonus incentive plan.
The agreement, which is retroactive to Feb. 12, covers USF Reddaway employees at seven former USF Bestway terminals in California, Arizona and New Mexico, the Teamsters said.
In January, YRC folded the operations of the former USF Bestway into USF Reddaway. The combined unit now does business under the USF Red-daway name.
YRC Worldwide ranks No. 4 on the Transport Topics 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
