Vigillo Product Analyzes CSA Performance
Vigillo LLC said it has released a new product called Carrier Select, which allows freight brokers, shippers and insurance providers to analyze carrier performance.
“Freight brokers, shippers and insurers have become increasingly concerned with monitoring the insurance, operating authority, safety rating, and [Compliance, Safety, Accountability program] safety performance of their motor carrier partners,” Vigillo CEO Steven Bryan said in a statement. “Carrier Select taps into critical database sources to give them real-time visibility into the ever-changing landscape of a carrier’s overall safety and risk profile.”
Carrier Select has a database of more than 1.2 million motor carriers. Data include a carrier’s insurance status, operating authority and safety performance.
“Carrier Select will become a standard and important tool for trucking insurance brokers and underwriters to assess their customer base on an ongoing, real time basis,” Thomas Dickmeyer, CEO of insurance firm Cline Wood Agency Inc., said in a statement.
The Portland, Ore., firm already offers Daylight, a product to help truckers adhere to the federal government’s CSA program.
On Aug. 22, Vigillo released a new product called Inspection Management System, or IMS, to aid fleets in assessing the accuracy of roadside inspections.
