Visteon Sells Some Aftermarket Facilities

Visteon Corp. said it sold some of its non-core underhood and remanufacturing facilities to Centrum Equities. Terms were not disclosed.

The sold operations include a manufacturing plant in Sparta, Tenn., and two plants in Reynosa, Mexico, but do not include aftermarket mobile electronics products, which Visteon maintains as part of its electronics group.

Visteon’s Sparta, Tenn., facility, known as LTD Parts, makes starters and alternators for aftermarket customers.

The Mexican facilities make aftermarket climate products including radiators, compressors, condensers, and remanufacture steering pumps and gears.
