Volvo Group’s North American heavy-duty truck deliveries rose 13% in May from the same month last year, the company reported June 18.
Deliveries of its Volvo and Mack brands in North America rose to 4,777 trucks from 4,228 a year ago, Gothenberg, Sweden-based Volvo said in a statement.
Volvo-brand truck North American deliveries rose 12% to 2,706 trucks, and Mack’s rose 15% to 2,051.
Year to date, Volvo brand trucks are up 50% in North America to 13,151, and Mack’s are up 31% to 9,377.
Worldwide heavy-duty truck deliveries for all Volvo brands increased 4% to 17,410 units for May. Year to date, they are up 14% to 81,609.
Volvo Group consists of Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks and the Eicher, UD Trucks and Renault Trucks brands.
