Volvo Group’s North American heavy-duty truck deliveries rose 14% in April from the same month last year, the company reported May 21.
Deliveries of its Volvo and Mack brands in North America rose to 4,813 trucks from 4,237 a year ago, Gothenberg, Sweden-based Volvo said in a statement.
Volvo-brand truck North American deliveries rose 17% to 2,760 trucks, and Mack’s rose 10% to 2,034.
Year to date, Volvo brand trucks are up 65% in North America to 10,445, and Mack’s are up 36% to 7,326
Worldwide heavy-duty truck deliveries for all Volvo brands dipped 2% to 13,941 units for April, but they are up 21% year to date, to 55,715.
Volvo Group includes Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks and the Eicher, UD Trucks and Renault Trucks brands.
