Volvo AB’s North American truck deliveries rose 43% in October from a year ago, to 4,045 units, the company said Wednesday.
Volvo Trucks’ sales rose 51% in North America to 2,501 units, while Mack Trucks’ sales rose 33% to 1,438.
Worldwide truck deliveries for all Volvo’s brands rose 25% to 22,028 units, Sweden-based Volvo said in a statement.
More than 17,000 of those were heavy-duty trucks, which rose 33%.
Volvo AB is the parent company of Volvo Trucks North America. Mack Trucks and the Eicher, UD Trucks and Renault Trucks brands.
In North America, UD Trucks sold 90 units and Renault sold three. UD’s total worldwide sales were a mix of light-, medium- and heavy-duty units. Eicher’s sales are primarily in Asia.
