Volvo AB’s North American heavy-duty truck sales rose 71% in November from a year ago, the company said Wednesday.
Deliveries rose to 2,772 trucks, from 1,617 last November, Sweden-based Volvo said in a statement. Volvo AB is the parent company of Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks.
Worldwide deliveries improved 52% to 18,454 trucks for the month, most of which were heavy-duty units.
Year-to-date North American deliveries are 38% higher than a year ago through November, totaling 21,108 units, Volvo said.
Western European October deliveries rose 78% to 6,536 trucks, while Eastern European deliveries rose 65% to 1,088 units.
