West Virginia Trucking Association’s Career Site Goes Live

The West Virginia Trucking Association’s jobs site has officially launched.

TruckingJobsWV.com, is the group’s new tool to help truckers seeking work connect with local and regional employers.

Drivers seeking experience, as well as veteran drivers looking for employment opportunities, are encouraged to visit the site, which will be managed by the association’s staff. Its search applications for job listings will be accessible on mobile devices. The association had noted the website would help address the industry’s need for commercial drivers.

In West Virginia, the trucking industry consists of nearly 35,000 jobs — one out of every 16 in the state — with an average pay of more than $40,000 a year.

"The main reason is to find that talent that’s out there, hopefully get some folks interested in the trucking and transportation industry," said Ryan Thorn, the association’s government and public affairs coordinator.
