Winsupply Adds to Distribution Network With Purchase of APCO Supply

Winsupply Inc. continues to expand its wholesale distribution network in the United States with the purchase of controlling interest in Apco Inc., a company in Lansing, Mich., that handles heating, ventilation and cooling, plumbing and maintenance supplies.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Apco has nine locations in Michigan and Indiana and will continue to operate under the Apco Supply and Michigan Temperature Supply names, according to a statement released on Nov. 7.

Winsupply CEO Roland Gordon said the company will provide Apco with capital for growth and to help with succession planning by Mike and Jeff Nussdorfer, who purchased the business from their father in 2005.

Apco and Michigan Temperature Supply operate a fleet of 22 straight trucks.

In October, Winsupply acquired Florida-based Certified Plumbing and Electrical Supply Inc. and now operates a total of nearly 600 locations in 45 states.

Winsupply is headquartered in Dayton, Ohio.
