Wright Express Reports Higher 4Q Income

Wright Express Corp. said Wednesday its fourth-quarter earnings rose to $65.2 million, or $1.66 a share, from $4.6 million, or 11 cents, a year ago.

Revenue fell 11% to $80.9 million, said Wright, which provides payment processing and information management services to fleets.

Net income for the full year was $127.6 million, or $3.22 per share, up from $51.6 million, or $1.27, a year ago. Revenue rose to $393.6 million, from $336.1 million.

Wright said its first-quarter adjusted net income would be $10 million to $12 million, or 25 to 31 cents per share, while revenue would be $61 million to $68 million.



Full-year 2009 adjusted net income will be $51 million to $59 million, or $1.30 to $1.50 per share, while revenue will be $270 million to $285 million, assuming an average retail fuel price of $1.97 per gallon.
