Xata Completes GeoLogic Acquisition

Xata Corp. said it has completed its $17.5 million acquisition of fleet tracking and communications firm GeoLogic Solutions.

The deal was first announced in December.

Herndon, Va.-based GeoLogic’s MobileMax mobile communications and tracking system is installed on hundreds of fleets and more than 35,000 trucks in the United States and Canada, Xata said.

The combined companies reported $55.6 million of revenue for the trailing 12-month period ended Dec. 31, Xata said.

Publicly traded Xata said that following the closing, it will have about 57,000 monthly subscribers using its technology.
