Xata Narrows Loss in 2Q

Transportation software firm Xata Corp. said Monday it lost $443,000, or 5 cents per share, in its fiscal second quarter, compared with a loss of $1.3 million, or 17 cents, a year ago.

Revenue jumped 39% in that period, to $16.9 million, with a 45% increase in software revenue, the company said.

Xata acquired seven new customers in the quarter, the company said.
