XRS Corp. on Thursday reported a profit for its fiscal third quarter compared with a loss a year ago.
The trucking software-technology company posted net earnings of $200,000, or 1 cent a share, compared with a loss of $6.2 million, or 58 cents, a year ago.
Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 declined to $13.4 million from $15.6 million a year ago, said XRS, formerly Xata Corp.
“A significant highlight this past quarter was bringing our new XRS mobile solution to market and the high level of interest it has already received,” Chairman and CEO Jay Coughlan said.
“At the same time, we were able to achieve three consecutive quarters of profitability and positive cash flow,” he said in a statement.
