YRC Launches Web Portal for Clients

YRC Worldwide said Tuesday it launched a Web site to make it easier for clients to access its North American divisions.

YRC Worldwide BizConnect offers customers the ability to choose the YRC unit, compare quotes from its different companies, schedule pickups, track shipments and pay online.

The site also offers discounts with companies such as DHL and OfficeMax, along with Dollar and Thrifty car rental services, the company said.

The service offers quoting and booking capabilities for the domestic 48 states and Canada. Services offered include standard ground, several levels of guaranteed, and expedited by 5 p.m.

YRC Worldwide — whose North American divisions include Yellow Transportation, Roadway Express, USF Holland, USF Reddaway and Reimer Express — ranks No. 4 on the Transport Topics 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in the United States and Canada.
