YRC Sets Mexico Freight Forwarding Service

Less-than-truckload carrier YRC Worldwide said it will offer freight forwarding services to and from Mexico through its YRC Logistics subsidiary.

The new service will focus on international air and ocean freight forwarding, the company said in a statement.

“Upgrading our freight forwarding services is the most effective way for our clients to benefit from YRC Logistics,” said Jim Ritchie, president of YRC Logistics.

The new service will be managed out of the company’s Mexico City office and is in addition to the company’s existing transportation, distribution and cross-border offerings in Mexico.

YRC Worldwide is ranked No. 4 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
