I’m a 34-year journalism veteran, with 23 coming on the Sports copy desk at the Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch. I joined Transport Topics in April 2013 and have worked on the copy desk and on the Content Manager team before being promoted to News Editor.
Working at Transport Topics has afforded me the opportunity to learn about what really moves America — trucks. Specifically, how goods that we depend on every day end up on store shelves (or on our front steps, in this age of booming e-commerce).

Living in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington puts me in the heart of some of the nation’s worst traffic and bottlenecks, so stories on infrastructure have taken on even greater meaning. Also, it’s fascinating to see where the industry is headed in terms of automation. What used to seem like “Star Wars” technology is being played out before our eyes seeming on a daily basis.
A native of Western Pennsylvania, I bleed black and gold and am a huge fan of the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. Other hobbies include concerts, travel and just being outdoors in general.
I’m married and live in Falls Church, Va.
