BMW AG plans to start selling hydrogen-powered vehicles in four years in a bid to establish the technology as an alternative to battery-electric cars.

The Biden administration will award $62 million to accelerate development of the nation’s nascent hydrogen industry, seen as key for decarbonizing steel, cement and heavy transportation.
