U.S. rail intermodal traffic increased 2.1% in the week ended Dec. 6 compared with the same week last year, the Association of American Railroads reported.

Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. is providing roll-stability protection as a standard feature on its 3000R base model refrigerated trailer, using Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems technology.

Direct Trailer has acquired Antares Trailers in a deal that combines the capabilities of the two flatbed manufacturers. Financial terms were not disclosed.
