The U.S. national average retail diesel fuel price fell 5.6 cents a gallon last week to $3.27, while gasoline dipped 5.1 cents to $3.017, the Department of Energy said.

Union Pacific Corp., the largest U.S. freight railroad by revenue, said Thursday its fourth-quarter net income rose to $491 million, or $1.86 per share, from $485 million, or $1.78, a year earlier.
