Absolute Worldwide Completes Acquisition of Shipmymachinery.com

Absolute Worldwide Logistics, a provider of multiple third-party services, announced the completion of the acquisition of Shipmymachinery.com, which specializes in managing oversized equipment shipments.

The announcement by Absolute didn’t disclose terms for the purchase of the Toledo, Ohio-area Shipmymachinery.com, which was added to broaden the buyer’s service offerings.

Baltimore-based Absolute offers air, ground and ocean freight management services.

“With the acquisition of Shipmymachinery.com, we will integrate the lead generation aspect of the Web portal with our operations team, which has more than 30 years of specialized equipment fulfillment,” Absolute CEO John Hart said. “This acquisition brings synergies to our truckload operations. We hope to gain increased market share in the specialized transportation sector within various customer verticals."

Bob Gergich will manage the Shipmymachinery.com office in Ohio, the statement said.
