Canadian Firm Express Mondor Finalizes Acquisition of Transport L’Epiphanie
Express Mondor has finalized its acquisition and integration of Transport L’ Epiphanie’s entire team and assets, the Canadian freight-hauling company said. Financial terms of the agreement announced on Aug. 23 were not disclosed.
The Lanoraie, Quebec-based firm said as a result of the purchase it has two complementary divisions that specialize in nonstandard transportation and will have all of the equipment it needs to service its customers in Canada and the United States. The combined operation will be operated by more than 200 employees, and the two divisions will have more than 100 tractors and upward of 300 trailers.
“This transaction is the fruit of a 2015 partnership agreement entered into with Eric Morin, president, and Louise Lemire, vice president, of Transport L’Epiphanie,” Express Mondor President Eric Mondor said. “We have learned to grow and optimize the use of our respective equipment and resources to serve our customers better and grow our business. The transition went very well, and the results exceeded our expectations.”
Express Mondor also announced that during the next year its trucks will be equipped with paperless Isaac Instruments digital real-time measurement and performance optimization systems.
