Marsh & McLennan Agency, a unit of global insurer Marsh, announced the acquisition of trucking and commercial agriculture's Cline Wood Agency, a Kansas City-area company.
Terms for the acquisition of Cline Wood, a $15 million business, were not disclosed. Cline Wood, a 31-year-old company, has offices in Leawood, Kansas, as well as the Dallas and St. Louis areas. All 73 Cline Wood workers will transfer to the March & McLennan Agency’s Upper Midwest operation, including founders John Cline and Mike Wood as well as CEO Carol Barnett.
“Cline Wood’s leadership in transportation and agribusiness was very appealing to us as we continue building our expertise in a variety of industry segments,” said David Eslick, MMA chairman and CEO.
