Click here to write a Letter to the Editor.Con-way Freight and APL Logistics said Wednesday they are adding four new Asian ports to the OceanGuaranteed less-than-container-load cargo service to the United States they started last summer.
Starting this month, customers can use the service to ship from four ports in Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan. The new origins, added to a service that already includes three ports in central and south China, will expand options for shippers, the two said.
“Expanded port coverage [and the] same simple pricing structure . . . proves our commitment to OceanGuaranteed and to customers who need reliability, time certainty, and cost effectiveness for their LCL cargo,” said Brian Lutt, APL Logistics’ president.The two announced the program in August, which they launched providing service from Hong Kong, Shanghai and Shenzhen in China, to all continental U.S. destinations served by Con-way Freight.
